Would you like to enjoy cycling during your holiday on Texel? Then rent a bicycle at Van der Valk Hotel Texel-De Koog. Or get on your own bicycle. The bicycle junction network on Texel consists of 57 junctions, which can be recognized by clear markings along the way. There are also 16 information panels with a map of Texel and the numbers of the cycling nodes. The island has a total of 140 kilometers of bicycle paths. Cycling on Texel is therefore the ultimate way not to miss anything of the beautiful island!

CYCLING ROUTES ON TEXEL
Cycling on Texel is easy: you cycle a route on Texel by following the signs of the Bicycle Route Network from one numbered junction to the other numbered junction. With the cycle route network you determine the route and the number of kilometers yourself. Remember the junction where you want to start and use the Map of Texel or the Bicycle junction map to map out a route that ends at your first junction. Write down the numbers of the nodes in the correct order and you jump on the bike and then just follow the numbers.
Would you rather cycle an existing route? Ask for a bicycle route at our reception or choose from one of the 13 cycling routes.
For example, you can cycle a 'round Texel'. You start on the east side towards the north and cycle over the Waddendijk with a view over the Wadden Sea. Then past the lighthouse and down again via the dunes of De Slufter and De Muy. After De Koog, you will cycle along the dunes and through the forest. Discover the different faces of Texel and enjoy the bike ride!
