Located 5 kilometers away from the hotel is Den Burg; the largest village on Texel! Almost half of Texel's residents live in this village. The center is characteristic and the authentic facades are definitely worth a photo. The village is fully equipped; you can find amenities such as Albert Heijn, Hema, Action, and Kruidvat.

But besides the shops where you can get your daily necessities, Den Burg has many souvenir shops, delicatessens with local delicacies, the cutest boutiques, ice cream parlors, and bakeries where you can get the most delicious treats. At STEK, Kees de Waal, and StijlZ, you can get the most beautiful decorations for your home. The sheep shed on Texel and Marie are known for their authentic Texel (sheep wool) products. Stan & Stacy and JOJO Texel are recommended if you want to shop for new clothes. Additionally, there is a market around the Groeneplaats every Monday morning. Here you can find vegetables, fruits, and cheese, among other things.

Need a break? On a cozy square in the center you will find, among others, The Chestnut Tree and Tearoom Timmer. Raaks and Texelse Branding are also highly recommended for a delicious lunch or a cup of coffee. For a special beer, Café De Slock is the place to be!
