Promoting electric driving.

As a pioneer on Texel, we have introduced the first fast charger to promote electric driving. We want to play a role in the transition to more sustainable forms of transportation and strive to inspire others to do the same. We now have a 2x CCS connection. You can pay by card and 2 cars can be charged simultaneously.

Electricity grid Texel

On Texel, the electricity grid has reached its maximum capacity. These developments have consequences for our power consumption. Efforts are being made to solve this problem on Texel.

Gas-free future and Waste Well Managed

Thanks to recent renovations, we have disconnected our cooling and heating system from gas, which is an important step towards a more sustainable energy source. We will also be launching the initiative from September 2023, 'Waste Well Managed', to effectively separate and reduce waste in the workplace. We believe that taking responsibility for our waste contributes to a cleaner and healthier environment.

Your choice for sustainability

We appreciate your commitment to sustainability. That's why we offer our guests the Green Option: a choice to skip room cleaning via the tablet in your room. By working together, we can reduce unnecessary use of resources.

Towels and eco-friendly cleaning products

In our bathrooms, we follow an environmentally friendly policy regarding towels. Towels placed on the floor are replaced, while towels on the hooks indicate that you want to reuse them. Additionally, we use ecological cleaning products (from Hygeniq).

Including employment and CO2 neutrality.

Our commitment goes beyond just environmental aspects. With our 'Open Hiring' policy, we hire people without job interviews or background checks. This initiative provides opportunities for people who have difficulty finding work and contributes to an inclusive society. Furthermore, we are pleased to be CO2-neutral and to contribute to reducing our ecological footprint.

Food waste and green lighting

We are taking measures to reduce food waste with the help of our Cool-Spot, an innovative refrigeration unit that preserves the freshness of products. In addition, we use LED lighting and presence sensors to save energy without compromising on quality and comfort.
