ECOMARE TEXEL

Harbor seals can be seen at Ecomare on Texel, but in the wild they can often be seen along the North Sea coast, from the Waddendijk and at the lighthouse on the northernmost tip of the island. Did you know that harbor seals are like wild predators? Their sharp teeth and streamlined bodies are perfect for hunting fish. Common seals are most common in the Wadden Sea. There they sunbathe and rest on the sandbanks at low tide.
